Autistic and Proud has been established by the parents of a child with Autism. With an aim to make a difference and raise awareness, Autistic & Proud is geared toward the needs of parents that find difficulties trying to explain their children's behaviour.

Why the Website? I wanted to stop people from staring at our daughter and making negitive comments about her behaviour when we would go out in public.

We have 2 daughters and whenever we would go out we seemed to spend most of our time explaning to people that our child was not naughty, but she has Autism. As a family, this took us away from enjoying and having fun with our two girls.

I took action! I decided to have a T-shirt printed with Autistic and Cute on it so I didn't have to explain my self anymore whilst in public, thankfully it worked, people smiled at us for once instead of whispered comments. It felt great to enjoy our time with the girls.

On one of our outings, someone came to me and said " my child has autism I love that T-shirt where did you get it from" so I explained that I had made it and that day I took an order for a T-shirt and that is how we have ended up here today with our website.

We would also like to help various organisations and charities that do such good work in helping the lives of many Autistic children and their families so each quarter we will be giving 15% of all money made to one of those organisations.
